Securing America's Borders

CBP's border security mission is led at ports of entry by CBP officers from the Office of Field Operations, along U.S. borders by agents from the United States Border Patrol and from the air and sea by agents from Air and Marine Operations.

The Border Patrol is specifically responsible for patrolling the 6,000 miles of Mexican and Canadian international land borders and 2,000 miles of coastal waters surrounding the Florida Peninsula and the island of Puerto Rico.
