More than seven months after the Florida Panthers won their first Stanley Cup, the team visited the White House on Monday, during which President Donald Trump recounted "one of the most riveting comebacks in NHL history.

President Donald Trump mostly stuck to sports and avoided any talk of tariffs as he celebrated the NHL's defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers at the White House.

The Panthers are the first professional sports team to visit Trump at the White House since he regained office.

President Trump lauded the Panthers for winning the Stanley Cup last season for the first time in their 30 NHL seasons and recalled how they won the first three games the best-of-7 Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers before losing three in a row and regrouping to win 2-1 in Game 7.

President Trump avoided any talk of tariffs as he celebrated the defending Cup champion Florida Panthers at the White House.

The Florida Panthers all wore red ties like Donald Trump during their White House visit and he seemed to love it.

Following in the footsteps of past champions from the four major sports, the 2024 Stanley Cup champs were hosted by President Donald J. Trump at the White House on Monday.

The Panthers were also the first championship sports team to visit the White House to meet the new Trump administration.

Though the ceremony was delayed because President Donald Trump was talking to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about pausing tariffs on the country, he did eventually hold a celebration for the Stanley Cup-champion Florida Panthers on Monday.
