Disney’s live-action “Lilo & Stitch” and Tom Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” dominated the U.K. and Ireland box office in May, driving the market to a robust £109.1 million ($147.7 million) total that represents a 50% increase over the same period last year, according to Comscore.

The Disney live-action remake scored another $176.1 million globally for a worldwide take of $610.8 million so far.

Saturday was kind to most movies in the top 10 which saw lifts over Friday, in particularly Disney’s Lilo & Stitch and Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning which were respectively up 51% and 56%.
