The Catholic Church will bid farewell to Pope Francis this weekend as he is laid to rest in St. Peter's Square in a funeral.

Pope Francis has died at 88 years old– after leading the Roman Catholic Church for more than a decade. This comes after the Pope’s recent medical battle with double pneumonia and other health issues.

Navarrosa, who is currently writing his thesis on the pope’s 2016 encyclical 'Amoris Laetitia,' recalls meeting Francis in 2021 and says he had hoped to meet him again. “I’m not worried about the future of the church, because it is guided by the Holy Spirit,” he says.
