The world is currently on fire to Dallas Mavericks fans—but not to general manager Nico Harrison, who sat at the podium during Monday's end-of-season press conference and tried his best to pretend everything was normal.

Harrison told reporters Monday the Mavs want defense to be "our calling card," so the franchise "jumped" at the chance to acquire Anthony Davis from the Los Angeles Lakers. Harrison is nothing if not consistent.

The Mavericks' general manager acknowledged that an arena full of fans chanting for his firing was impossible to ignore.
