The Detroit Lions are reportedly hiring Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant Kacy Rodgers as their new defensive line coach.

Detroit defensive line coach and run-game coordinator Terrell Williams is leaving the Lions to reunite with coach Mike Vrabel as the New England Patriots' defensive coordinator, per multiple reports Wednesday.

Two Pro Football Hall of Famers who spent time with the New York Jets praised the hiring of Aaron Glenn as the team's new head coach.

Terrell Williams, who Dan Campbell has described as the NFL's best defensive line coach, has left the Lions to become the DC in New England.

Rodgers does have coordinator experience with the Jets from 2015-2018, serving under Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles. The Lions coordinator position remains open. Rodgers has also interviewed for the DL coaching vacancy with the Green Bay Packers this week.
