Intelligence agencies have identified a group of 14 local terrorists, aged between 20 and 40 years, providing logistical support to foreign terrorists, including those from Pakistan.

The NIA took over the case five days after the incident and four days after its team visited the attack site and started supporting the Jammu and Kashmir Police in probing what is considered the deadliest assault on civilians in the region in almost twenty years.

While earlier reports suggested that The Resistance Front (TRF), the shadow group of the banned Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was responsible behind the attack, the group on Saturday denied any role in it.
