The Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 to avenge the Pahalgam attack where 26 people - mostly tourists – were killed. Subsequently, the two countries were involved in military actions against each other.

As part of retaliatory strikes during Operation Sindoor, India targeted military installations and the air bases of Nur Khan in Chaklala, Rafiqui in Shorkot, Murid in Chakwal, Sukkur, Sialkot, Pasrur,

India and Pakistan reached an understanding for a ceasefire after four nights of military conflict following Operation Sindoor. India has said it will not move away from any decisions taken after the deadly Pahalgam attack.

Operation Keller is a recent counter-terrorism mission launched by the Indian Army in the Keller forest area of Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation followed precise intelligence inputs about the presence of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists hiding in the Shoekal Keller region.

Rajya Sabha MP Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, during an interview, questioned if the goals of Operation Sindoor have been achieved. He asked if any terrorist involved in the Pahalgam terror attack had died.

Operation Sindoor has not only demonstrated India's offensive precision but also the airtight resilience of its defence setup. The integrated air defence network has shown that India can not only hit back hard but also defend with clinical efficiency.

DIA chief Lieutenant General DS Rana told them the operation showcased India’s strength, resolve and military superiority in new-age warfare.
