A jury has agreed to a partial verdict in the trial for a former Maryland teacher who was accused of sexually abusing students between 2022 and 2024.

Following a month-long trial, the jury entered deliberations Friday afternoon. Monday, Alban read a note from the jury saying it had come to a consensus on 14 charges but was deadlocked on seven charges. Later that day, Alban read another note that said the jury was still deadlocked on four charges.

The youths, ages 16 and 17, both testified that Svetlana Kuryanova, 34, performed oral sex on them in the facility.

Jurors in the trial of Terence Crosbie, an Irish firefighter charged with raping a woman in a Boston hotel last year, are expected to begin a full day of deliberations Tuesday.
