OpenAI has enhanced ChatGPT on WhatsApp by adding support for text, image, and audio inputs. This update allows users to interact with the chatbot using various media forms. The feature is now accessible worldwide, enabling a more versatile user experience.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT can now take voice and image inputs on WhatsApp. Users can upload images or send voice messages to chat with the AI bot which in turn then responds via text. This means ChatGPT will be able to analyse the details of an image and give feedback on it.

WhatsApp has enhanced the instant messaging platform and updated ChatGPT- supporting only text-based queries, like enhanced image and voice message inputs.

This follows OpenAI’s introduction of its chatbot, ChatGPT, to WhatsApp, enabling users to directly message the chatbot for answers within the messaging platform in December. Users can talk to ChatGPT by sending a WhatsApp message to ‘1-800-CHATGPT’.

Amid all the buzz around its CEO Sam Altman's visit to India, OpenAI on Tuesday announced updates around accessing and interacting with ChatGPT via WhatsApp, including a new feature that would allow users to talk to ChatGPT using voice messages on the popular messaging platform and get responses from the AI chatbot in text form.
