PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A confrontation with an alleged intruder turned deadly in Southwest Philadelphia after police say a homeowner fired the fatal shot at the stranger at the front door. It happened shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday in the 1000 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway near Cedarhurst.

The 36-year-old man was fatally shot at the I-95 ramp to the Philadelphia International Airport, police said. A Philadelphia police officer shot and killed a man who got into a physical struggle with another officer on the southbound ramp of I-95 early Monday, police said.

The 36-year-old man was killed during a scuffle with another officer who failed to subdue him with a Taser, investigators say.
