An Israeli air strike killed 10 Palestinians in the north of the occupied West Bank on Wednesday night, the Palestinian health ministry says. Video footage reportedly from the town of Tamun showed chaotic scenes, badly damaged buildings and bloodstained streets.

The Israeli army said Sunday that it had killed "a number of terrorists" in three air strikes the previous day in the occupied West Bank, where a new operation was underway around the village of Tamun.

The attack in Tulkarem comes as Israeli raids on the nearby Jenin area of the occupied West Bank enter a seventh day.

Between January 21 and 27 alone, Israeli forces killed 20 Palestinians and injured 81, including 11 children, in attacks across the West Bank, according to OCHA. This includes a raid on January 25, in which undercover Israeli forces raided a village and shot and killed a two-year-old Palestinian baby.

A Palestinian child was killed and two others injured on Saturday evening in an Israeli airstrike targeting the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, occupied West Bank, which has been under continuous Israeli assault for almost two weeks.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the assault on Jenin would be “extensive and significant,” as the military erected new checkpoints across the West Bank.

RAMALLAH, West Bank - An Israeli airstrike on Jan 29 killed at least 10 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said, in an attack which the Israeli military said targeted armed militants. The airstrike was in the area of Tubas, in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Red Crescent said.
