Trump officials say policy change will allow them to target criminals taking sanctuary within churches, repealing a Biden-era sanctuary rule.

Denver Public Schools became the first U.S. school district Wednesday to sue the Trump administration challenging its policy allowing ICE immigration agents in schools. Colorado’s largest public school district argued in the federal lawsuit that the policy has forced schools to divert vital educational resources and caused attendance to plummet.

Snow will accumulate several inches in central and southern Maine before changing to sleet and freezing rain. In the mountains and far north, mostly snow will fall.

A weekend storm will bring impactful snow and ice to the region Saturday night through at least midday Sunday.
