Davis Love III is back home after undergoing open-heart surgery earlier this week to repair a leaky valve that was detected about 10 years ago. The surgery had been scheduled for some time.

Davis Love III underwent successful open-heart surgery this week, according to CBS golf anchor Jim Nantz, who delivered the news on the air during Saturday’s broadcast of the Farmers Insurance Open.

Love noted the procedure was done to "replace a valve issue that my doctors had been monitoring for the last 10 years." He went on to thank his doctors before taking a look toward the future.
