June 9 (UPI) -- Multiple people were injured in a skydiving plane crash in Tennessee on Sunday. The plane was carrying 20 people and crashed at around 12:45 p.m on Old Shelbyville Road. Authorities arrived on scene quickly and transferred at least six people to hospitals while the others were taken care of by emergency services on scene.

A plane crashed in Coffey County, Tennessee, with 16 to 20 people on board the aircraft. Officials said the passengers were airlifted to hospitals.

The congressman, who is the chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, said he will vacate his seat after the next House vote on a Trump agenda bill.

Republican Rep. Mark Green of Tennessee plans to resign from Congress for a private-sector job "too exciting to pass up," once the House takes its final vote on President Donald Trump's massive policy bill.

The Tennessee Republican said he would leave "as soon as the House votes once again on the reconciliation package."
