Woods has backed out of the Genesis Invitational this weekend while he mourns the loss of his mother, Kultida Woods.

It would've been Woods' first tournament since July 2024, but the emotions following his mother's death led to his change of heart.

Kultida Woods, the mother of Tiger Woods, golf’s biggest star, died Tuesday, according to the 15-time major winner. He did not provide give her cause of death.
