Netflix has greenlighted a Heartstopper movie, starring & exec produced by the series' leads Joe Locke & Kit Connor and directed by Wash Westmoreland.

Netflix has not renewed Heartstopper for season 4. Instead, the streamer has revealed the series will come to an end with a movie. On April 22, 2025, Netflix announced that Heartstopper will conclude with a feature film, bringing Nick and Charlie's story to a close. News arrived on the third anniversary of the launch of season one.

Heartstopper didn’t get renewed for a fourth season — but Netflix found a way to still properly conclude Nick and Charlie’s love story. “Heartstopper will return, bigger than ever,” read the Tuesday, April 22, post via Netflix’s X account. “A Heartstopper movie, our final chapter based on Alice Oseman’s upcoming volume six, is coming!!!”
