The body of sea is loaded with ships and the one that you will pass through on your ferry to the islands or on your cruise ship. Views from the ships are pleasant.Full review by Thomas V

Our cruise ship is stopping in Pireaus in late May. We spent a week in Athens two years ago (including trip to Aegina) so thought we might wander near Pireaus instead of going into Athens that day. Is this a good "day trip" from the port and easy to do via taxi or public transportation?

Hi there and welcome back to Greece. Pireaus is pretty nice during summer time. Since you have visited Athens already I would suggest moving around in Pireaus. You can take a taxi for 4 euro max. and visit Marina Zeas. Its a pretty nice little marine, you can have a nice walk there. The area is called Pasalimani. In Sotiros Street you can find many shopping options, also you can check "Ta Katsarolakia" its a very very nice traditional restaurant with amazing sea view and very good food. Another option is another marine, named Marina Flisvou its a new marine with luxury yachts with many many caffes around, less restaurants though but beautiful to walk around. Have a great time.
